What data we collect

We collect your data electronically through the contact form on this site, server logs and cookies:

• Contact form: your name, email address and message, plus your phone number and a subject if you add them.
• Site visits: your IP address, browser and device details, the page you open, the page that sent you here and the time of your visit. We may also derive your approximate location (country, city) from your IP address.
• Cookies: see the “Cookies” section below.

You make bookings on istbooking’s booking page and send WhatsApp messages on WhatsApp. Those services process what you share there under their own privacy terms, and the details also reach us so we can handle your booking and your messages.

Why we process your data and on what legal basis

• To answer your message and your booking and stay questions. Legal basis: necessity for entering into or performing a contract, and our legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5/2-c and f).
• To keep the site secure and block spam, abuse and attacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5/2-f).
• To measure the results of our Google ads. Legal basis: your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 5/1). If you decline cookies, we do not use cookies for this purpose.
• To meet our legal obligations and respond to requests from authorities. Legal basis: express provision in law and our legal obligation (KVKK Art. 5/2-a and ç).

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

• Our hosting provider: the site and its database run on our hosting provider’s servers.
• Google: if you accept cookies, Google Ads receives measurement data. The map on the contact page also loads from Google Maps.
• ipapi.co: we may send your IP address to this service to find a visitor’s approximate location.
• Authorised public bodies: when the law requires it, and only as far as requested.

Google’s and ipapi.co’s servers are outside Turkey. When we use these services, we transfer your data abroad (KVKK Art. 9).

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. This site uses:

• Session cookie (essential): protects the form on the contact page against abuse. Your browser deletes it when you close it.
• Your cookie choice (essential): we keep your “Accept” or “Decline” choice in your browser’s local storage so the banner does not reappear on every page.
• Google Ads cookies (optional): set only if you click “Accept”. They measure whether a visitor who came from an ad went on to the booking, WhatsApp, phone or form step.
• Google Maps: the map on the contact page loads from Google, and Google may use its own cookies.

Even if you decline cookies, the Google tag still loads and sends cookieless count signals that do not identify you (Google Consent Mode).

When the cookie banner is shown to you and when you make a choice on it, we record this on our own server only as a daily total (e.g. “12 visitors from our ads accepted today”). No identity, IP address or cookie is attached to this count. We use the totals to estimate how much of our ad measurement is missing.

You can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

How long we keep your data

• Contact messages: until your request is settled, then for the periods the law requires. After that we delete the message or make it anonymous.
• Visit and security logs: the system deletes them once the retention period we set runs out.
• Google Ads cookies: for the period Google sets, or until you delete them in your browser.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:

• learn whether we process your personal data and, if so, request information about it;
• learn why we process it and whether we use it for that purpose;
• know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom we transfer it;
• ask us to correct incomplete or inaccurate data;
• ask us to delete or destroy your data under the conditions in Article 7 of the KVKK;
• ask us to notify third parties who received your data of any correction, deletion or destruction;
• object to a result against you that comes solely from automated analysis;
• claim compensation if you suffer damage from unlawful processing.

To use your rights, email rezervasyon@atakentsuitotel.com or write to us at Yarımburgaz Mahallesi 5, Yarımburgaz, Fatih Cd. No:106, Küçükçekmece / İstanbul. Include your full name, contact details and your request.

We answer free of charge within 30 days at the latest. If your request involves an extra cost, we may charge the fee set by the Personal Data Protection Board. If you find our answer insufficient, you can complain to the Board.

Changes to this notice

We update this notice when we add a new service to the site or the law changes. The current version is always on this page, with the last update date at the top.
